- 1 bag pitted dates
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
- 120g butter
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1/4 brown sugar
- Heat dates and water – bring to the boil then take off the heat
- Add bicarb soda, let sit for 5 minutes, then puree it.
- add butter, flour, and sugar. Mix well
- pour into tin and bake for 45 minutes
I might be crazy thinking that sticky date pudding is inspiring, but it is amazing! Does anyone else agree?
